Hi, I’m Carlos Rodrigues, I’ve been in the Navy since 1991 and I’m 36 years old. My Rate is Logistics, symbolized by a seahorse, and at present my rank is Petty Officer. During these years I’ve been in several departments of the Portuguese Navy including almost 3 years on the Frigate “Vasco da Gama”. Hi, my name is José Gonçalves, I’m 30 years old and I’ve been in the Navy since 1995. My rate is Logistics and my job is to acquire everything that a unit needs to perform its missions. I’ve been both in land and on naval units. One of them was a corvette called “António Enes”, where I had most of my “naval adventures”. Besides the Azores and Madeira, where we are assigned to on a regular basis, I’ve been in Spain, Ireland and Iceland.

Hello, my name is Angelo Cardoso. I am 30 years old and I have joined the Portuguese Navy in 1993. My rate is Logistics and my rank is Petty Officer. Along these years I have served in several on land Naval Units, and for two and a half years I was aboard an hydrographical vessel named «Almeida Carvalho». We are a group of Petty Officers from the Portuguese Navy that are attending an English Course. The purpose of creating this Podcast is to share our Naval way of life. Our group is composed of ten elements, seven from Logistics, symbolized by a Seahorse, two from Mecanist’s Mate, symbolized by a propeller and one Torpedoman’s Mate, symbolized by a torpedo. Our Podcast was named after our rates’ symbols.
